Resident welfare associations, schools and coaching centres account for most of the printed shirts ordered from these streets. A society sports day, a school trip, a clinic team or a marathon group each needs one design across a wide range of sizes, from small children to adults, which is where an order in Model Town usually needs the most attention.
Sizes for children are the part that goes wrong. A logo scaled for an adult chest looks enormous on a six year old, so the artwork is resized for the smaller shirts rather than printed at one size across the whole run. A mockup for each size band is sent before printing begins.
Events of this kind also tend to be dated. Working backwards from the day of the event, rather than from the day the order is placed, is the safer way to plan, and free delivery on bulk orders means the whole batch can arrive at one house or one school office instead of being split.
