How we decorate a cap
The right method depends on your artwork and your budget, and we will tell you honestly which one your logo suits.
Embroidery — the premium finish
Your logo stitched directly into the fabric with coloured thread. It never cracks, never peels and never fades in the wash, and the raised texture reads as quality the moment someone picks the cap up. Best for logos with clean shapes and a handful of colours; very fine text below about 4mm does not survive the needle, so we redraw it or scale it up before stitching.
3D puff embroidery — for bold logos
The same stitching laid over a foam backing so the design stands proud of the cap. It suits chunky lettering and simple marks — the look you see on sports and streetwear caps — and it makes a front panel design carry from across a room.
Heat transfer — full colour, fine detail
Gradients, photographs and intricate artwork that thread cannot reproduce, pressed onto the panel. It is the most economical option for complicated designs and for short runs where an embroidery setup would not be worth it.
Sublimation — all-over prints
Colour dyed into polyester panels rather than sitting on top of them, so the print covers the whole cap and cannot be felt at all. Used for patterned and full-bleed designs on polyester caps.
